There are three main topics in the Repas Rating system:
Food Quality
What is the quality of ingredients? Were there enough vegetables? What is the presentation like of the food – has the chef calibrated and married tastes to achieve greatness? What is the level of originality? Do we feel that the chef actually tried the food? Has the chef actually tried to take another dish to a new level or is it a completely new approach with little influence of something that has been done before? Was the food the same temperature throughout the dish? If a steak – can the chef cook steak all the way through without drying it out?
Value for Money
The Value for Money price paid is based on based on the main course and a glass of a good quality wine (or a pint of ale). Did we feel the price was worth the food (& service) provided? Was a service charge added without prior notice?
Service
Did we have to wait a long time for the food, were we able to catch the eye of the “server”, were we the “server’s” priority (or were they distracted by bigger tables?). Did all what we ordered arrive without us having to ask. Did we get what we ordered? How did the meal flow go?
