Any rating system can be controversial, so the Repas Rating system takes into account the whole experience from getting to the pub to leaving and has been tailored towards public house dining, taking into account the type of dining experience from Fine Dining through to Cheap Eats.
Repas is all about Nice Pubs with Good Food and the rating system has to reflect the diverse range of pubs that we have in England.
The purpose of Repas is as an aide-memoir for us for the places we have visited in recent years and a list of places that we have yet to visit to eat. Most of the pubs we have either been there for a drink beforehand or they are recommendations from others.
With this in mind, the ratings will be high – but that cannot be guaranteed.
Some establishments change hands, change their chefs – we tend to revisit and rescore.
